Events over ActivityPub

Welley sends and receives standard ActivityPub Event objects.

  • An Event object includes the organizer, name, description, time and supported location details.
  • Updates to public events, and cancellations, can sync across participating servers.
  • Supported event interactions use ActivityPub activities.

The other service decides how it shows an Event and which interactions it supports. Not every app has a full event interface.

For a public event, people can say they're interested or that they're going. The page counts both.
