# Separate posting channels

Split the group feed into channels, each with its own name and purpose.

-   Each channel has its own profile, cover image, description and feed of posts.
-   Channel settings cover privacy, notifications and preferences.
-   Channel search helps people find posts in that channel.

A group can mix public and private channels, pick a primary channel and subscribe new members automatically.
