# Follow only the channels you want

Subscribe to a public channel without joining the whole group.

-   People who aren't in the group can follow an eligible public channel.
-   Group members can pick which channels they follow.
-   Administrators can mark a primary channel and subscribe new members to it automatically.

Subscribing to a channel doesn't make you a group member or give you access to private group content.
