# Group events

Put events right next to your group's channels and forum.

- Group events have their own event list and calendar.
- Group members with permission create events.
- Group administrators with permission to manage events can cancel or delete someone else's event.

Regular members can't create events by default. Only the organizer can edit an event. Group events don't support direct invitations.

A new group event starts with a cover, a name, a start time in a time zone, a place, and an online link if you want one.

A group keeps its events in its own list and calendar, next to its channels and forum.
